Available Positions

Entry-Level Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our company to train as Industrial Refrigeration Service Technicians. We will provide up to three months of paid training to include on-the-job training with experienced Service Technicians. Travel is a requirement of the position as we are a multi-state service provider.

Upon completion of our on-the-job training program, you will be responsible for performing the following:

Travel to customer sites to maintain and troubleshoot equipment built and sold by ALTA Refrigeration.
Perform maintenance and repairs on:
- Mechanical components and systems such as, motors, bearings, pumps, and pulleys.
- Electrical systems, low and high-voltage “24VDC -480VAC”
Perform annual, quarterly, and weekly maintenance schedules and tasks assigned by the supervisor
Perform work in a safe manner

Qualifications and Requirements:

Two years of HVAC experience or successful completion of an accredited HVAC program
Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (EXCEL, Word and Outlook)
Aptitude for mechanical processes
Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements
Self-starter
Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction
Available to travel up to 80%
Availability to travel by plane to work sites
Safely operate/drive a company vehicle
Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able walk or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp objects
Must be able to work in various weather conditions and heights
